Fame isn’t always the best thing for someone. It can ruin someone’s life. When someone is famous, they eventually strive for even more fame and take on big challenges in their lives. Fame can ruin relationships with family and really close friends. When there is fame, money is always involved. Even though money is just a simple piece of paper, it can really change who a person truly is. Celebrities can feel pressured because of fame and commit things that they would have never thought of doing back when their lives were normal.
I personally think that famous people feel pressured under all the publicity. They try to make things as perfect as they can so they won’t lose their fame. They try so hard to stay perfect, that sometimes they go the bad direction. For example, Lindsay Lohan got pushed to the limit and couldn’t take it any more and finally had to do something that would relieve her stress. Lohan took on drugs and alcohol. This one mistake ruined her life. Many celebrities take drugs to relieve stress, and end up with more stress.
Fame changes the way a person may see the world. A famous person feels more powerful when they know that many people look up to them, and because they have money. When a famous person has money, it’s possible for them to think that they can do anything and get away with it. For example, Paris Hilton thought that just because she was famous she would be able to get away with her jail sentences.
When a person is famous, he or she is bound to be in magazines. The tabloids are another major part of being famous. When you do something you’re not supposed to, or the tabloid thinks you are doing something you’re not supposed to, it’s possible for things to get blown out of proportion. People will write lies in magazines, and try to convince people that what they’re saying is true. Sometimes the celebrity is calm and patient with them and just lets it pass knowing that it isn’t true, but some celebrities take it seriously and just don’t know what to do. They feel so pressured that they end up doing something they’re not supposed too. For example, Britney Spears shaved her head under the pressure of the paparazzi.
In my opinion, being under the pressure of fame can result in bad things, but it doesn’t have to if a person always tries to make the right choices, no matter what.
