Pitman High is home to many talented musicians and singers who all participate in band, orchestra or choir. One in particular is choir student Briana Valencia who has been selected as musician of the month for her spectacular talent, determination, and hard work.

      Mrs. Harrell, Valencia’s choir teacher stated that “Briana is a hard worker and a wonderful singer. I love how when she really wants something she just goes after it until she gets it.”

      Briana loves country music because is she feels it has more meaning than any other type of music and along with country music she also loves her choir.

 “I’m motivated and inspired by my choir because we are more like a family, rather than just a class,” Valencia replied.

       Although Mrs. Harrell has been teaching Briana for three years now, Brianna began singing long before she met Mrs. Harrell.

 “I’ve been singing since I was little, honestly I love to sing and I sing all the time. I sing here at choir of course, but also outside of school,” Briana explained.

         Brianna is a very promising and gifted young lady with an amazing singing talent. A friend of Briana’s proclaimed, “Briana is not only a great friend, but an amazing singer and she will be someone important in her lifetime.”
