It was a complete shock and surprise to see the entire B building hallway transformed into a room full of spirits, monsters, zombies, and ghouls. It was impossible to even recognize the place.
PitmanHigh School’s Drama students put on a terrifyingly great display of acting and stage setup as they transformed the bottom hallway of the B building into a haunted house full of creatures and ghouls trying to scare the life out of anyone who came in. The dimly lit hallway was filled with students, acting as all types of different monsters and creatures. Zombies were seen popping out of black curtains, roaring, moaning, and dragging their lifeless bodies across the floor. The spirits of little girls would repeat eerie chants and cries, and let out blood-curdling screams. The hallways were lined with severed heads, bloody knives, and other creepy props.
The actors did an excellent job of keeping their character throughout the entire walk down the hallway. There were dozens of people moving and interacting with the audience in such a short period of time. There was a lot to take in all at once; the details and movements occurring all around the environment made it a non-stop, action-filled tour within the hallway.
There were two places where the group would stop, and at both places the audience would stop and listen to a solo performance; each performed by a different actor. They both played as angry spirits who had suffered gruesome deaths, and they roamed the living realm, left with the agonizing spite and suffering they experienced before they died. The stories of both spirits sent chills throughout the audience.
Overall, this haunted house was a blast and a great scare for the people walking through.
