On November 11th of 2014, “Halo Master Chief Collection” was released for Xbox One. Over 1.01 million copies of the game were sold on the first week. The game included Halo 1, Halo 2, Halo 3, and Halo 4. Each game received a graphical upgrade. The demo for Halo 5, which is coming out later this year, was also included.
Millions of people have been waiting for this game. Many bought the Xbox One just so they could play this game. In the past, Microsoft tried to make this game franchise come back to life, but many gamers were disappointed with this game. The single player and the remade maps were great, but most people were looking forward to play online. For the first few weeks the matchmaking was horrible; it took over 40 minutes to set up a game, and most of the time the teams were uneven. After a few weeks, this was fixed after 343 industries released a few updates and patches that made the servers better, but there are still multiple bugs in this game.
A great aspect of this game is that gamers can replay these games with better graphics and additional content. According to Game Informer this is, “The Master Chief’s entire story in one console, honoring the iconic hero and his epic journey.”
There are also some features that let one play a playlist of every single boss battle. That way one could skip some levels that one don’t like, and fight every boss without doing every single mission.
Halo Master Chief Collection was a great game for single player and co-op it was like getting four games for one purchase. A lot of people loved this game, but some were disappointed because the online servers aren’t great, and hopefully they get better.
