Some may have him as a teacher and some may have heard of him, but what you’ve heard is probably nothing but great things. As if he’s the Teacher God on campus, Mr. Farhadian, the new government/economics teacher here at Pitman High has almost every student wanting him as their teacher because of how awesome he is.
This is his 1st year teaching at Pitman High. He has previously taught at Turlock High, but started a new teaching job here. He attended and graduated from California State University Stanislaus and has five degrees including his bachelor’s degree in history and political science.
Mr. Farhadian says he very much enjoys teaching here at Pitman High School. He loves to get to know his students such as what there interests are, what plans they have for after high school, or what kind of job they have if they work. He is very much a friendly teacher who takes a interest in not only his own life but in the lives of his fellow students as well.
Some of Mr. Farhadian’s hobbies consist of listening to music. He did previously listen to a lot of hip-hop, but now he is more into classical music. He enjoys listening to most music in general – anything but country. He also loves to spend time with his family. Whenever he gets the chance, he hangs out with his uncles and cousins.
He enjoys watching a few popular TV shows, such as Gotham, The Walking Dead and Shark Tank. His favorite sport is basketball and he enjoys watching NBA. His favorite basketball team is the Lakers and he was disappointed when Kobe decided to walk away from the team. Mr. Farhadian likes to be involved with the school and attends many school events such a Prom and different sporting events.
When asked what he would be if not a teacher, he said that he would want to become a traveler. Like those people on the traveling channel where they go to some of the most beautiful countries in the world and they explore the city they’re in and try the food they have. He would want to travel the world and educate people about places and food we have never seen or heard about, which could be a wonderful experience, as well as a job.
