An all new season of the Office is back with even more pranks, parties, drama, pointless meetings—and paper. At first glance, you might find the television series a waste of time but it is not your typical sitcom. The characters and the writing make this show a continuing success for all eight seasons. Dunder Mifflin may appear to be a normal paper company, but the employees of the Scranton Branch make sure you will experience no “typical day at the office”.
It feels like forever since the last season of The Office ended. In the previous season, Jim Halpert becomes co-manager of the Dunder Mifflin Scranton Branch. Then Pam’s mother dates Michael Scott at Pam’s wedding, false rumors get spread around the Office about all the employees, Pam has her baby, and Oscar hits on Matt (one of the warehouse guys).
The seventh season started off with a bang when the whole cast performed a lip dub to “Nobody but Me,” by the Human Beinz. What makes the show work is the unpredictability of the story line. Just when you think it couldn’t get better, the writers and cast outdo themselves with some bizarre twist. It leaves you eager to see what next week’s episode has in store.
Steve Carell, the star of the show has announced that this will be his last season on the Office. It will be interesting to see if the show can maintain its fan base with the remaining characters—and even more interesting to see who will try and fill Steve Carell’s shoes. I, for one, can’t wait to tune in and find out!
