Most people know that universities are generally tougher to get in to than a state college, so imagine all the students’ excitement when they discovered they would have the opportunity to attend such prestigious schools.
There are many factors, which play into deciding on a school, one being finances. A lot of students manage to receive scholarships and grants, but sometimes it is not enough, so a student may choose to stay closer to home to save money.
Another is having a friend nearby or just choosing the campus that suited that student best. Pitman senior Dustin Lewis said he is expecting to gain the full college experience meaning meeting new people, forming new friendships and getting an education. It really could be put no better or clearer than that.
Overall, many students are more than satisfied with their choices, as difficult as they were. Many students are going to their dream schools and wish to pursue greater things like politics, medicine and psychology; even optometry. While other students may not have had a specific dream school in mind, this surely does not diminish the joy of attending such respected campuses.
