Aaron Smith (a.k.a. Shwayze), is a new hip-hop rapper coming into the music world. He is not alone, though. Accompanying him on his tracks is the background singer, Cisco Adler. Together, they produce some of the best cross genre music there is out on the radio today. Having a slower rap flow (provided by Shwayze), and a rock beat (given primarily from Cisco Adler’s persona) in their music makes for a good song, and even seems to make their lyrics run smoother. This is what is hot in the music world today, and Shwayze is capitalizing on this and creating good music. His new single “Get U Home” is no exception to his style, and can be heard on his official website (www.shwayze.com), or in his new album “Let It Beat” which is to be released on October 27, 2009.
The new single “Get U Home” is a song that holds not just two elements (Shwayze’s rock beat and rap style), but also holds a very simple, yet effective twist. The twist is there is a little techno mixed with the rock beats, which adds to the dancing factor in this song. This means that kids will not just want to hear this song and sing along, they will also want to get up and start swinging body parts to the beat.
Shwayze and Cisco Adler really want to prove themselves. After hearing the media say they couldn’t produce another good album, they had all the motivation they needed. This song leads the way, giving them the spotlight they need to do so.
This song will definitely be a radio hit, and make its way up the charts to a single digit number. There is no doubt that Shwayze has got a number one hit on his hands, but this does not mean he should take a break or stop his music production. One thing to be noted about Shwayze’s music is that it is explicit, and parents should provide listener discretion, if this is something the parent has trouble letting their child listen to. But good music is sometimes explicit and will be labeled with parental advisory. This doesn’t mean anything though because I believe that even explicit music can be good music. Shwaze and Cisco Adler are a great duo to listen to.
