If you plan on watching movies this fall, here are some ideas of what might be in the movies that are coming out.
Paranormal Activity 2
One of the movies that are coming out is Paranormal Activity 2. The first movie was released in theatres on October 16, 2009. The sequel is coming out on October 22, 2010, about one year after the prequel. I would rather watch it at my home than watch it on a big screen in the theatres. I would expect Paranormal Activity 2 to be just as scary as the first, so prepare yourself.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
Hey, all you Harry Potter fans! It’s time for another Harry Potter movie; Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows, Part One, is coming out in November. As you can see in the title, it says Part One. Part Two is coming out in July of 2011 so there’s a big gap between the two release dates.
The final chapter of the Harry Potter film series begins as Harry, Ron, and Hermione leave Hogwarts behind and set out to find and destroy the Horcruxes—the secret to Voldemort’s power and immortality. I always preferred watching the Harry Potter movies over the books but that’s just my opinion, so I’ll probably end up watching this movie in theatres.
Saw 3D
Do you like horror films? If so then I bet you can’t wait till October 29, 2010! Why, you ask? Saw 3D is coming out to theatres! If you thought Saw was scary and creepy before, wait till you see it in eye-popping 3D. To give a short synopsis: As a deadly battle rages over Jigsaw’s brutal legacy, a group of Jigsaw survivors gathers to seek the support of self-help guru, Bobby Dagen (Sean Patrick Flanery), a man whose own dark secrets unleash a new wave of terror on the world. I’ve never seen a Saw movie but I heard they are pretty scary. If ever, I’d rather watch this movie at my house during the day because I can see the sunlight and everything in the room and so I can find my way to the bathroom easier, just in case.
Let Me In
First came Twilight, then Vampires Suck, and now another vampire movie. The movie, Let Me In is coming to theatres October 1st, 2010. The movie is about an alienated 12-year-old boy who befriends a mysterious young newcomer in his small New Mexico town and discovers an unconventional path to adulthood. The film is a haunting and provocative thriller written and directed by filmmaker, Matt Reeves. Unlike Vampires Suck and the Twilight saga, this movie is a horror film and rated R for strong bloody horror violence, and language. I haven’t like any of the vampire themed stories or movies that are coming out lately, so I am a little biased against it. If you enjoy these kinds of things though, be sure to watch it when it comes out in theatres.
I hope this brief fall movie preview has helped in creating your must-see movies in the coming months. As the Halloween season rolls around, expect more horror movies to be coming your way.
