The graduation of the Class of 2011 was an exciting event on a breezy evening. May 27 would be an important date for many students. This year’s ceremony even featured big screen televisions so everyone would be able to see all aspects of the ceremony. With great performances by the PHS music departments Symphonic Band, Symphonic Orchestra, and Choir, the evening began on a great note.
Soon the honored faculty was introduced and ten followed by the march of the graduates. Representatives of the Class of 20011 sang the “Star Spangled banner.” There were words of wisdom from Frank Lima representing the school board. Rod Hollars, PHS principal then introduced the students speakers Lucas Giron and co-valedictorians Gurdit Chahl and Karly Matter.
The many Distinguished Scholars with GPA’s of 4.0 and greater were introduced as they received their diplomas and then the rest of the Class of 2001 received their acknowledgments of a very successful four years.
