Acca-amazing, is what many people are saying about the fun comedy, Pitch Perfect. Pitch Perfect is a movie that really anyone can enjoy. I heard so many good things about this movie, and I just had to see what everyone was talking about.
In this movie, college students are competing in an a cappella competition. Some think it’s better to play it safe; others are willing to take the risks that they need to get to the top. Pitch Perfect keeps you laughing and singing along the entire movie.
When I heard that so many people absolutely loved Pitch Perfect, I had to go see it. I took my grandma and my mom too. We all loved it. It was funny, and it had great music. All of my friends said, “It was so funny! I absolutely loved it!” It’s one of those movies where everyone always quotes they’re favorite lines and you can see it over and over again, and it’s still funny.
Anna Kendrick, who played main character Beca, started her acting career at a young age by playing Dinah in the Broadway musical High Society. This performance made her the third youngest to get a Tony nominee.
Anna Kendrick was not the only one in Pitch Perfect who was on Broadway. Anna Camp, playing Aubrey in Pitch Perfect, had a role in the Broadway musical Equus. She has also been in numerous television shows.
This movie almost didn’t get made. People said it was way too much like the hit comedy series Glee on TV. They agreed to make room for Pitch Perfect. I’m sure that knowing that Jason Moore was directing it had a big impact on deciding whether Pitch Perfect went on the big screens or not.
Pitch Perfect was Jason Moore’s first film, but don’t be fooled. Jason Moore has directed several Broadway plays. This includes Tony Award-winning Avenue Q. This Broadway musical was a big turning point in Jason Moore’s career.
Being Moore’s first film, it was definitely a hit. Everyone enjoyed this movie and I would highly recommend seeing it if you haven’t already. They left room for a sequel and ended on a high note!
