Pitman has many talented students enrolled in art, drawing and painting, and studio. The Roaring Times has selected senior Abbie Hurst as artist of the week. Hurst has demonstrated great artistic skills and creativity.

            “I probably started drawing in elementary school because I just generally enjoyed it,” explained Hurst. Her favorite subject to paint/draw in general is nature because it is “pretty and simple.” She considers herself to be her favorite artist, “…me because I am great.”

            Although she would like to go to her dream college UCSB, she is going to Adrian’s BeautyCollege instead. Due to her current and future schedule, Hurst does not expect to have art to be anything more than a hobby.
