With September’s Apple Keynote approaching quickly, apple users have been spreading numerous rumors about the highly anticipated iPhone 7. The company has sold more than 13 million iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus models during opening weekend. Although there is not supposed to be many major changes, users are anticipating a phone that’s better than ever.
Reliable sources claim that the iPhone 7 is going is going the same sleek design but with some new changes. The phones will keep the same size screens, 4.7 and 5.5 inch, and make the back of the phone completely smooth. It is rumored that Apple is aiming to make the iPhone 7 as thin as the iPod touch by removing the headphone jack completely and merging it with the charging port. Apple may also be replacing the headphone jack with a second speaker for better audio.
What we need
Samsung already introduced a waterproof phone so it’s only a matter of time before Apple does. It’s rumored that the iPhone 7 will be made with a more waterproof material. Apple may also introduce Pixel Eyes, in which the screen will be easier to use if hands are wet.
With the charging port becoming the headphone jack, apple users are expecting new forms of wireless charging. It is still unclear if this will be introduced or not.
Another feature that many fans have requested is wireless earphones. These would be a premium accessory, sold alongside the iPhone 7. They would come with up to four hours of battery life and a rechargeable battery. This will most likely be compared and/or similar to the Beats by Dre Wireless Earphones that currently retail at $229.99.
The new iPhone is expected to keep the same colors, rose gold, space grey, and classic black. There are rumors that the white lines that are across the back will be taken off, and they will only remain on the very top and bottom of the phone.
This iPhone is predicted to be one of the best-selling iPhones ever. Mass production is believed to start soon and the first beta phones will be out in just a few months, just in time for holiday shopping.
Besides the iPhone 7, Apple is set to release the iPad Air 3, new Apple Watch bands, and possibly a new generation iPod and the iPhone 7 Plus. Apple also will be releasing an iPhone 5se, an in-between of the iPhone 5s and 6, this year.
