Last week in rural southern Ohio, a family of 8 was murdered execution style. According to a new autopsy record only one was shot nine times. The Rhoden Family was found in different locations.

Investigators found there is a high probability one member of the family had connections with the Mexican drug cartel. They found around 200 marijuana plants in some of the houses the Rhoden family was found executed. The plants were found being grown in an indoor garden house

Another lead the police has is Larry Jones and Rusty Mongold. They are close friends and were found fighting a member of the Rhoden family a few days before the tragic killing. Jones wrote about an altercation in union hill road, where the Rhoden family lived threatening to, “clear out that whole neck of the woods.”

When the bodies were found these two boys realized that they would be prime suspects  Larry Jones went to the police station sunday and said he was one of the first people to help with the murders and had nothing to hide.

“Even though I had posted some stuff on here in the past doesn’t mean I would ever even think about acting on it. Looking back I feel awful about what I posted in the first place,” he wrote “I talked with the police. And I’m not even a suspect. They know that it was not me.”

Meanwhile Rusty Mongold had posted about the very same disagreement but he dug himself deeper when he threatened the youngest member of the Rhoden family, Christopher Rhoden Jr. who was found dead from gunshots.

Of course Rusty Mongold testified guilty and voluntarily gave a cheek swab for DNA stating “i have nothing to hide.”

Mongold also stated, “Everyone saying it was me plz keep my name out your mouth because i would never wish death on anyone nor shoot anyone and i’m very sorry for everyone’s lost” (sic).

When police found the deceased family Jeff Ruby, owner of the Cincinnati precinct and  Jeff Ruby’s Steakhouse put out a reward for $25,000 if someone found the murderer but withdrew it a few days afterwards. He tweeted, “With recent complex criminal developments in Pike Co case, we are withdrawing our reward and involvement. Grieving and praying for family.

The whole community is pretty shocked nobody anticipated a murder in suburbs Ohio.

Rev. Phil Fulton knew the family and sadly  said “You try to think (about) the whys and who, and no one has any idea why this would take place.”
