The brisk morning air moved through the city as an abundant amount of footsteps could be heard hitting the oddly comfortable pavement in a pattern, Left right left right.

Everyone was headed in the same direction–the happiest place on Earth, to the new-timer, only one question remained, where the heck does one start in a place so large and magical?

A person’s first trip to Disneyland is obligated to be memorable! However, because it’s someone’s first time, an overwhelming feeling consumes them as they have no clue where to begin, that is what I’m here for!

Even if the visit to the greatest place in California is constrained to only a day, there are three compelling rides each person must go aboard.

First thing in the morning, before throngs of people flood the opening gates, a visit to Space Mountain is essential. Residing in Tomorrowland, the ride usually begins to fill up at around eleven a.m and will remain that way until closing.

Between the small drops, intensity of sound and the lights being completely shut off, it is safe to establish this as a thrill ride. Having motion sickness or getting nauseous easily will not benefit anyone on this ride.

Going on through October 31st, the roller coaster has been transformed into a Halloween themed ride! So if someone is in for an extra spooky adventure, this is the ride for them!

After disembarking from the ride of a lifetime, there is always an adrenaline rush, so clearly, more roller coasters are needed to fulfill that adrenaline. Head over to the Matterhorn Mountain located in the middle of Fantasyland, there is no telling how long the line may be (sometimes it wraps around the circumference of the mountain!), despite the wait, the ride is definitely worth it.

Once on board the “bobsled,” it starts rising until it is at the “top” of the mountain, then the bobsled splits off from the track and carries itself away until meeting the one and only, the Abominable Snowman. From there, the track becomes bumpy as the riders attempt to escape from the clutches of the snowman.

With short drops and even a small water drop at the end, it is impossible to not love the ride after getting off. To some younger riders, the bobsled’s jerky movement may be triggering.

The last ride that is sure to bring out someone’s inner child is It’s a Small World. Not only does the ride grants time for feet to rest (a whopping 15 minutes!), but it is also air conditioned as well as beautifully decorated to celebrate the countries around the world. This water ride allows a person to board a “ship” on the “happiest cruise that ever sailed ‘round the world.”

If a planned visit is lucky enough to fall between the months of November and January, the ride will be decked out for the holidays! As opposed to the typical catchy song, “Deck the Halls” and a mix of the original song will play!

Disneyland truly is the happiest place on Earth, simply walking through the main gates and taking a stroll down Main Street USA will warm your heart in the most sentimental way.
