Forget Kim, Kourtney, Khloe and the rest of the Kardashian clan- Keeping Up with the Kattarshians is the purrrfect new reality show for people who would love to see into the life and minds of cute, furry cats.

The show was created in collaboration with the Icelandic Cat Protection Society and was streamed live on Monday, February 27th.

Three GoPro cameras capture the kittens’ behavior for the show 24 hours a day, exploring how they play, sleep and at times wreck some of the house. All the viewers follow four kittens available for adoption.

The kittens live in an oversized dollhouse together, furnished with things like cute kitten-sized chairs and bunk beds. Viewers were with the litter as they were constantly knocking over furniture and creating drama.

Contrary to what one may think, the process to make this show and have everything for the kittens perfect was a long one.

“It took about a year to put together, because we wanted all the animal welfare authorities to approve it,” said the creator of the show. “And here we are, a year later, with the first reality TV show starring kittens. All the people who were laughing then aren’t laughing now.  We like everything they do. It’s fun when they go crazy and ruin the house, but it’s also calming to watch them sleep. It’s good for the soul.”

Many people are questioning why anyone would want to watch a bunch of cats lounge around but the creators believe that now is the perfect time for cats to strive on the internet. Plus, the show is not ONLY a bunch of cats lounging around, filled with interesting facts, humor, and just plain cuteness.

Producer Inga Lind Karlsdottir told Broadly, “It’s nice to sit there and relax and watch kittens,” with all that’s going on in the world. Plus she says it’s great for people who are allergic to cats: “But Keeping Up With The Kattarshians is great for people with allergies. You can just sit there and watch the cats on your computer screen.”

If one is not that into cats then this reality television show will easily bore them, but if one is an extreme cat lover in the world then this show is purrrfect for them.
