On December 5th, Pitman High School held its annual Winter Ball or, Formal. The Winter ball was held in the gym from nine to midnight. Sound Express DJ’d the dance and played recent hits and some great throw back songs.

A large majority of students take Winter Ball very seriously and take a lot of time to prepare for this night. This preparation can include dress shopping, suit shopping, shoe shopping, and even making dinner reservations at great restaurants.

When arriving at Winter Ball, the students were greeted by long rows of tables where you checked in with their student identification cards. Once checked in, you could set your things down at a table and go to the dance floor. The music shortly started playing and many students started to dance.

Winter Ball this year was a Winter Candy Land and the gym was decorated with white curtains and blue lights. They also had a candy cane walkway where students could pose for a photo, and even gave the option of professional photography.

This year’s most popular style was short, colorful, sparkly dresses for girls and the classic slacks with button up shirts and ties for guys.

Winter Ball was an overall success and many students had a great time dancing the night away and making unforgettable memories.
