UK Attempts to Ban Donald Trump

Many people have expressed their feeling for Donald Trump in many different ways, but the United Kingdom has started a parliament to ban Trump. There has been a date set for the debate to ban Trump for January 18th.

Since he began his campaign to run for president for the 2016 election, he has shared his opinions on many big issues in the United States. With these very opinionated comments he has also offended many people all over the world.

Starting on December 8th, an online citizen gathered about 568,000 signatures to ban Trump from the UK. The required amount of signatures for a parliament to be considered for debate is 100,000. Since it exceeded the amount of signatures needed, it will be put under debate.

Trump responded by saying, “They don’t know what they’re getting into.” many citizens have responded to his comment over social media.

Since the petition started all ministers have been rejecting Trumps’ calls. The reasons for Trump to be banned have been very unclear but there are many different reasons.

“Trump has promised jobs and money but they haven’t appeared.” Suzanne kelly reported for The Times.

“Trumps threatens to withdraw about $1 billion of planned investment in the county.” Suzanne Kelly told Hashable

Suzanne started this petition because of Trump’s Muslim remarks after the San Bernardino shootings.

Before Trump joined the presidential race most of his past comments have not been brought up.

The prime minister, David Cameron called Trump “stupid” and “three times a loser” after he launched his proposal.

The Trumps organization had this to say: “Any action to restrict travel would force the Trump organization to immediately end these and all future investments we are currently contemplating in the United Kingdom. Westminster would send a terrible message to the world that the United Kingdom opposes freedom of speech and has no interest in attracting inward investments.”

Since this was announced other counties such as Ireland and Germany have put banning Trump under consideration.

Although nothing has actually been set in stone, these actions have made it clear that Donald Trump is a man who has developed a notorious image across the world for his controversial ideals.
