Café Rome just opened up March 6th 2016 in downtown Turlock! They are open Tuesday through Saturday from 8am to 8pm and Sunday from 10am to 9pm.

Café Rome sells a variety of coffees, pastries, and crepes. The atmosphere is warm, friendly, and modern. The space is pretty small but the quality service and tasty coffee makes up for the lack of space.

Makayla Loomis, Pitman junior, stated,

“I ordered a caramel macchiato at Café Rome and in my opinion it was better than Starbucks. It was the perfect combination of coffee and caramel! I loved the decor and overall vibe of the café. The staff was very friendly and personable. I will definitely go back to try something new!”

Downtown Turlock continues to grow not only in small businesses but also in popularity. Many small businesses are thriving in downtown and increasingly gaining recognition for their greatness. Café Rome is near Café La Mo but it only seems to benefit both competing businesses. Café La Mo even posted a picture on their Instagram promoting Café Rome and encouraging their followers to check out the new café.

Overall Café Rome is great place to enjoy quality coffee, yummy crepes, and socialize with friends. It seems to also be a great environment for students to grab a coffee and study. The only complaint would be the space issue.

“There were times that the café felt crowded and loud because of the limited space. Even when there weren’t many customers, I still felt constricted. Other than that I really enjoyed my beverage, the service, and the super cool chandeliers!”

Café Rome is definitely worth trying out. Their location is 122 West Main St in Turlock CA. It’s worth it!
