On August 29th citizens of Japan’s second largest island, Hokkaido, were shocked when a missile flew over the island causing a siren to go off. The missile turned out to be a North Korean Hwasong-12 ballistic missile. This was the third missile to fall into the sea of japan and tensions are rising. Shinzō Abe, Prime minister of Japan, said that the missile test was “A reckless act of launching a missile that flies over our country is an unprecedented, serious and important threat.” Obviously Shinzō is furious about this incident and is getting a lot support from the American military.

After Shinzō Abe’s statement, preparation/precautions for anything serious that may follow the missile launch began. Both South Korea and Japan have the support of the US to do bombing test on the Korean Peninsula with two Rockwell  B-1B Lancer’s, (an American strategic jet). President Donald Trump stated that if North Korea were to follow through, it would be met with “fire and fury.” Even with the bombing test in Korea and Japan, Kim Jong Un is still threatening that the next target is American territory, Guam.

The North Korean government needs to be dealt with as soon as possible. Kim Jong Un is making threats to multiple countries in including, Australia, South Korea, Japan, and worst to mess with the U.S. because of their actions this will most likely lead into a war within the next 5 years. To be frank the war will probably end in nuclear detonation on North Korea. However If this were to happen there would be a lot of controversy all over the world.

Some North Korean defectors that had an interview with the Youtube channel Asian Boss talked about how North Korean propaganda was taught in school. Students were taught to hate America because of the atrocities that happened during the Korean War. There is even a museum dedicated to the alleged Sinchon Massacre, which was the rape and murder of over 35,000 people in the county of Sinchon. Young North Korean children are taught how to fire a gun at a very young age. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see a large army coming out of North Korea, but it is puny compared to the American Military force.

North Korea is making way too many threats against multiple countries and Trump is already going pretty hard in the middle east. It is sad to say but this probably isn’t going to end well. It would be great avoid anything too severe and maybe come to a peaceful end, but with Kim Jong Un and Donald Trump controlling both governments, it is highly unlikely.
