American Horror Story, an American television series, created by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, has been renewed for another terrifying season.

The eighth season of this anthology is set to air on September 12th, 2018, in the US, on FX.

The title of this season is “Apocalypse”, which naturally sent fans into a frenzy, eager to know the contents that this season will hold. The creators are not releasing an abundance of information, leaving their fan base anxious.

Ryan Murphy did post a photo on twitter, naming off the nine circles of hell, and putting the corresponding AHS season next to it, in parenthesis. For example, the first point on the list read like this:

– Limbo (Murder House)

It continued this way for seven out of the nine circles of hell, leaving Lust and Violence blank. We can assume that season 8 will be about one of these two sins.

Murphy has also released that the season is set 18 months after the date, April 6, 2018, therefore we are getting a ‘futuristic’ season. Fans have looked into this, searching up the importance of the date, October 6, 2019.

They found that this will be the 58th anniversary of President Kennedy advising American citizens to build bomb shelters for protection against a possible nuclear war with the Soviet Union.

Taking this information and the title of the season, fans are inferring that the setting will take place during or after a war with the Soviet Union. This could also pair well with the deadly sin, ‘Violence’, since war is always filled to the brim with it.

According to an article on NME, the actors that have been confirmed to appear in the season are, “…Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters (who Murphy revealed Friday will be playing a comedic hairdresser and Collins’ grandson) and the returning Kathy Bates.”

Pitman Sophomore, Sydney Pike, is an avid watcher of American Horror Story and she has big expectations for the season.

“Ok so it’s supposed to be a murder house/ coven crossover right, and those were the best seasons in my opinion so I’m super hyped,” Pike said.

Also, former student, Cerene Davis, is a very eager fan of the show, she gave her input on how excited she is for the new season.

“Coven is my favorite, so I am super excited that it’s going to be involved in the next season. I also heard that Tate and Violet, from the Murder House season, are returning. They are one of my favorite couples so that’s also exciting,” Cerene proclaimed.

No matter what we think we know about season 8, I am confident that “American Horror Story” will surprise us, it always does.
