Libras! It’s your time a balance of peace this October. Are you a virgo? Is your personality fun like a Gemini? Finding your horoscopes according to your day of birth can be really fun, but have you ever wondered where the astrology zodiac signs came from?

The zodiac is a greek term that refers to the circle “of twelve 30 divisions of celestial longitude that are centred upon the ecliptic- path of the sun.” The term zodiac came from the greek term zodiacus, which means “circle of animals”. Since centuries ago the zodiac has been used to define personality from the chinese, to the Egyptians which was there ancient philosophy that is now modern astrology.

The  circle the greeks used  containing twelve triangles on its plate and  twelve animals which represent the symbols  are used to define one’s animal with by date of birth. A horoscope is a forecast of one’s future. Here are the different signs to define your horoscope:

Aquarians are from January 20- February 18. Pisces are born from February 19- March 20. Aries are born from March 21- April 19. Taurus are born from  April 20- May 20. Geminis are born from May 21- June 20. Cancers are June 21- July 22.

Leos are born from  July 23- August 22. Virgos are born from August 23- September 22. Libras are born from September 23- October 22. Scorpios are born from October 23- November 21.  Sagittarius are born in November 22- December 21. Capricorns are born from December 22- January 19.

Horoscopes are daily, weekly and monthly based on recent positions of the sun, the moon, and the planets with the relation to your suns signs.

There are four elements in modern astrology that one can categorize the horoscope signs by being: fire, earth, air and water.

The fire signs are Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius:

  • Aries, the rams, are determined. They like taking on challenges but can be impatient and hate being inactive.
  • The Leos, which are represented by lions, possess creativity and are lured by expensive thing. But they are fiery with a touch of detesting the lack of attention or not being treated like a king or queen.
  • Sagittarius, are generous centaurs, are known for having a great sense of humor. Although they aim to arch towards promising to do more than what is in there hands or not censoring what they say.

The earth signs being Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn.

  • Taurus, the bulls, are reliable individuals who enjoy hands on tasks but when there horns come out… they can be insecure and possesive.
  • Virgos, are loyal maidens, like animals but there flaw can be the lack of not asking for help.
  • The last down to Earth sign would be the Capricorn. Capricorns, the goats, got it in for being responsible and family oriented. Although there less humane quality would be that they can be unforgiving or critique almost everything at some point.

The air elements would be: Gemini, Libra and Aquarius.

  • Geminis, the twins, are quick learners who like to take short trips around town. They are prone to being nervous, and are adapted to one repetitive routine.
  • A balance in the scale, the Libra’s on one side are cooperative and enjoy sharing with others. But on the other side of the scale they can be violent and will carry grudges.
  • Aquarius, the water bearers, are humanitarian, you enjoy helping others They can also be dull, and can be very emotional.

Lastly the water signs: Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces.

  • Cancers, the crabs, are loyal  but can be pessimistic or dislike revealing personal details.
  • Scorpios, the scorpions, are true friends who have long-lasting friendships, but can be jealous and dislike honesty.
  • Pisces, the fish, are wise and lovers of music, but tend to be fearful and sad.
