Music is an art unlike any other. The music industry is constantly pumping out new albums and singles with new artist on the rise. The fall of 2018 is a big time for new music from anticipated artists. Music is something that brings people together and plays a large part in making you who you are.

I’m going start with the album I’m most excited about is the “Some Rap Songs” from my baby Earl Sweatshirt. After a 3 year hiatus Earl dropped the song “Nowhere2go” and later tells his fans he’s coming out with a new album on November 30,2018 . Earl is known best for his dark and intricate beats and lyrics often about topics most can relate to. The album is 25 minutes long and has 15 songs so the songs are pretty much going to be the length of an itunes preview but that doesn’t take away from the anticipation.

The next album is “A Brief Inquiry into Online Relationships” by The 1975. This is going to be released on November 30, 2018.If you enjoy The Neighbourhood or Arctic Monkeys you’d probably like The 1975. The 1975 is an alternative band with a somewhat poppy tone. The have upbeat guitar beats by Matthew Healy. The album is 59 minutes and has 15 songs.

For albums that have already been released there has been an abundance of music. After the about a year of Lil Peep being gone Warner Bros. released “Come Over When You’re Sober, Pt 2” on November 9,2018. This album has 13 songs and is 45 minutes. Lil Peep is in a unique genre of rap rock or emo rap and usually has dark lyrics with trap beats. The album has a collab with Peep and recently passed XXXtentacion. The songs is a collab we wish we could have more songs from considering both have soundcloud roots and often sad lyrics.

Even though this is a single it deserves to be mentioned. A$AP Rocky came out with “Sundress” as a collab with the alternative band Tame Impala on November 19, 2018. A$AP has recently been changing his sound with his album “Testing” coming out earlier this year. Sundress has a different sound because of the airy vocals and guitar.

On November 2, 2018 the Long Beach rapper Vince Staples came out with the album “FM!”. The album has the theme as if you are listening to a radio station. The album has good hip hop beats with interesting lyrics layered over. The album has a 15 second song with Earl Sweatshirt which started the hype. The album is fun to listen to and has an overall happy tone. The album is 22 minutes long with 11 songs.

Lots of other albums came out this year but these are the ones that I see lots of noise about. Each year artist have to do better than the last so considering last year was a great year for music this leaves me excited for what artists have to beat the previous year.
