Arguably the biggest movie of this generation has been out for a few weeks now, so the memes and the discussions are already circling.

If you have not seen Avengers: Endgame yet, then I doubt you would have clicked on this article. However, if you for some reason did, do not worry about spoilers. This is a spoiler free zone!

Avengers: Endgame is a tough movie to review, for many reasons.

Since the movie was so hyped by the media and fans, expectations for it were extremely high, whether you want them to be or not. Everyone always expects more than what they get. But at the same time, since it is the last installment of this generation of Marvel movies, people also seek some type of goodbye or closure.

It is just hard to please everyone in this scenario. So, it is understandable that the reviews on this movie are rather mixed. Some people say it is the movie they wanted, and others find it to be “not enough.”

All in all, this film was definitely a farewell to this era and even some characters. For a community like this one, where the fans are so dedicated, it would not have been sufficient to ignore the “goodbye” that everyone craved.

With that said, superhero movies, especially the Avengers, are always action-packed. This film certainly centered more around the characters and their interactions with one another, rather than the big fight scenes that we are all accustomed to.

So take what you want from that.

Luckily, this movie is an end to something, but not all Marvel movies.

After Endgame, the only confirmed MCU movie is Spider-man: Far From Home, being released on July 5, 2019. The newest trailer for Spiderman has been released and shows the world post-Endgame. Check it out!

So, that leaves us Marvel fans to twiddle our thumbs while we wait for sequels to be announced. People are expecting to see sequels to Black Panther, Doctor Strange and the third installment of Guardians of the Galaxy. In addition, Marvel fans are drooling over the idea of Black Widow finally getting her own movie.

Sydney Vallier, a faithful Marvel fan, has some strong opinions about Avengers: Endgame.

“I’m still pretty conflicted about Endgame- on one hand, the movie was really enjoyable as it had a unique plot and a plethora of references to other films in the MCU, which was a lot of fun for a devoted Marvel fan. However, I didn’t like how some of the characters were treated, and some elements of the film were kinda ridiculous. Nevertheless, it’s definitely a must watch for any Marvel fan,” she stated.

The sophomore here at Pitman also showed some excitement for future MCU films.

“I’m really excited for the [possible] upcoming Black Widow movie. She’s been a huge part of the MCU for years, so it’s exciting for her to finally get her own movie, especially considering her complex backstory that Marvel has yet to explore. There’s also supposedly going to be an Eternals movie, so it’ll be exciting to see all the new characters they introduce there. I would really like to see a movie that’s more focused on Hawkeye. I feel like he’s such an underappreciated character and it would be cool to finally have him in the spotlight,” she explains.

All in all, Avengers: Endgame is necessary for all Marvel fans to see and, no matter your feelings about the film as a whole, there are definitely parts throughout that will make anybody happy or sad. This is not the last goodbye, lucky for us, we get to cry over some more MCU films for years to come.
