Mandalorian Review

Ah yes, The Mandalorian, one of Disney+’s biggest hits that released when the streaming website was released. If you don’t know much about the show, the one thing you’re most likely to know is the adorable character, Baby Yoda that follows The Mandalorian on his adventures. One of the cutest characters  that I’ve ever seen in a show.

Now, The Mandalorian ties into the Star Wars movies. How it ties into the movies is that it takes place 5 years after the events of Return of the Jedi, which is the 6th movie. It also follows a Mandalorian bounty hunter beyond the reaches of the New Republic. Personally I think the show is great.

There’s a lot of action and adventure. You’re going on this whole journey with the bounty hunter and baby Yoda, but it’s really funny because Yoda is actually about 50 years old in the show. I know, crazy right? The Mandalorian was first conceptualized for the Empire Strikes Back as a group of white armored “supercommandos,” this idea then formed into a signal bounty hunter named Boba Fett.

The ideas about this show are great. I don’t really have any complaints besides that some episodes, mind you there’s only 4 so far, are kinda slow at the beginning. But then again, some shows are like that. There’s nothing we can do about that. The creator says that they’ve already ordered a second season and that there will be about 8 episodes in the first season.

I decided to get Sierra Smith’s, who’s a senior here and got her opinion on the show.

“I have watched Star Wars movies before watching the show. I started watching them when I was old enough to understand TV. I used to watch the older ones the most”.

“I watched it as soon as I was able to get Disney+ and it was amazing.”

“I really love the show because I think it reminds me of the older movies than the newer ones. Personally I think that the newer Star Wars movies aren’t as good as the older ones, so the show brings a sense of nostalgic feeling to my heart.”

“I would take baby groot from Guardians of the Galaxy and use him as firewood to keep Baby Yoda warm in cold weather, so yes I think he’s the cutest thing on earth.”

I love everything Sierra had to say because she did state some good facts about how it reminds her of the older Star Wars compared to the new movies. I haven’t watched all the movies quite yet, but from watching the older ones, I do get that nostalgic feeling from the show.

I also got the opinion of Brayan Felix who’s also a senior here about the show and what he thought of it.

“I had watched all the movies before watching the show”.

“I had heard about the Mandalorian when Disney+ was released.”

“I think it was one of the best shows because I love Star Wars and it shows you more  about the bounty hunters.”

“Yes I think that Baby Yoda is the cutest thing ever to exist.”

I agree with both Sierra and Brayan that baby Yoda is the cutest thing ever. But I’m glad they both like the show as much as I do.

I highly recommend the Mandalorian to anyone who really likes Star Wars and if you’re looking for a new show to watch as well. Have fun watching !!
