Soccer

Varsity boys soccer played their first game on Tuesday, December 3rd at home.  They played Oakdale High School and beat them 5-2.  Senior Felipe Lopez scored 3 points and seniors Luis Robles and Pedro Ponce both scored 1 point each.  Diego Lopez, a sophomore, said they had a decent crowd for the game and also stated that this is the soccer team’s first season on the newly installed turf.  When asked about how the turf compared to grass he said, “It is weird, but better.”

Basketball

On Wednesday, December 4th the varsity boys basketball team played Beyer High School during their first game at the Modesto City Classic tournament held at Gregory High School in Modesto.  Although Beyer was up by 2 points at halftime, PHS quickly closed the gap and won 65-63.  Click here for an article on this game from the Modesto Bee.
