In the beginning of the year we received a chromebook to use when needed. When we first got them we could mostly use a lot of sites, but when we got back from winter break so many websites were blocked. One reason why this is important is because in journalism we use computers to write articles and research, but now when they blocked all these websites that we need to use.these websites that we need for school are now blocked . Also for lots of classes they use websites for practice and some might be blocked. I interviewed some students to see how they think of this.

The first person I interviewed was Gabi Rodriguez, a freshman. Gabi said they are still useful because she can write articles and turn them into google classrooms and other stuff. Gabi also says some websites that she tries to use to help write essays and do assignments, are blocked on the chromebook

The next person I interviewed was Annika Reich, a freshman . Annila said it’s still useful to have chrome books but we need a little more freedom and usage. She also said even some school sites are off limits. ¨”I tried  searching something about sex cells and it was off limits ¨ 

Another person I interviewed was Sierah Martin, a sophomore . She said she does think chromebooks are still useful to a certain extent. “I use mine for spanish,english, history, and Ag chem. “That’s pretty much it” she also said. “but when i don’t want to and want to be lazy I love type it out” she said. 

The last person i interved was Tianna Karr, a freshman. She said you can’t use youtube and some information websites and that’s a problem because in lots of her classes they give websites for classwork to go on but it doesn’t work and some people don’t have phones to use which makes it much more difficult to assign. Also Youtube being blocked is an issue because mainly in drama and bio they watch videos and learn more about the assignments for a test. but it doesn’t work because it’s blocked. I still think chromebooks are useful but just difficult to use for school when half of the stuff is blocked. She said some history websites, cool math games, certain games and sometimes google classroom are blocked or not working. This takes time to learn. If someone wants to play a game then work, let them. Don’t take away time from everyone else.
