Power Trip Rock Festival 2023

Power Trip is a music festival that is pointed towards all metalheads. It is a 3 day festival that takes place in Indio, California, specifically at the Empire Polo Club during October 6-8, 2023.

Well-loved metal rock artists, Ozzy Osbourne, AC/DC, Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, Iron Maiden, and Tool, will be performing songs to all their loyal fans.

What’s exciting about this is that several of these artists haven’t performed in years, and now they’re all coming together to give their fans the show of a lifetime. AC/DC hasn’t been on tour since 2016, and Ozzy Osbourne last toured in 2018.

Metalheads from all over the world should and will be participating in the festival, it is once in a lifetime where all these amazing artists come together for more than one day. Although ticket prices can be outrageous, which is a downside of a 3-day festival, there will be amazing artists.

A basic 3-day pass starts at $599. Which is understandable for 3 days, but wow that is only for the basic package. The reserved floor seats are $799. The Pit package is $1,599 and the last one, VIP, is $2,999. Tickets were officially released on April 6th.

During the 3 days, 2 artists from the headliners will be performing each day. The information that has been released shows that Iron Maiden and Guns N’ Roses will be performing on Friday, the 3rd. On Saturday, AC/DC and Ozzy Osbourne will be performing. On the last day, that leaves Metallica and Tool.

I was able to catch an interview with a family member who is a metalhead.

When you heard the news, how did you feel?

They said, “I was completely shocked. I’ve never seen a lineup as cool as this one! I’m looking forward to seeing videos and all the different people going”.

Would you have ever expected these artists who haven’t been on a stage in years, to be a part of a huge festival?

“I was excited to see the poster posted online. I never would have thought these bands would get together, especially since it’s been awhile for some. It’s interesting how they were silent then went straight to a festival”.

I grew up around these artists and with metal music. For me, it would be a dream to see them all perform before my eyes. Something I look forward to is people who have been waiting for these artists to perform for years.
