2023 Fall Activities

Looking for a fun way to spend your fall this year? Although fall isn’t a two month long summer break with exotic vacations and no school there are plenty of benefits to it. Your very own home town has fun fall festivities for you to enjoy with your friends or family. Pitman also has many activities that go on throughout the fall season for all students to enjoy.

Let’s start with your very own high school. Here at Pitman, there are a variety of events to enjoy during the fall season. This includes our rival football game against Turlock High, Harvest Bowl, Halloween festivities as well as your Homecoming rally, football game and Homecoming dance. Another activity football has to offer as well as other sports is Pink Out during the whole month of October. This year Pitman’s homecoming dance is on October 14th and the theme chosen was Pitman Road Trippin! The theme correlates with the Homecoming floats that each class builds and shows off during out You can buy your tickets at the activities office for $25 starting September 25th. If you have an ASB card, the cost is only $20! However, if you’re looking for a break from school, you’ll enjoy Thanksgiving break! If you’re not sure what to do over break here are some ideas. RAM Farms in Turlock has their very own corn maze and pumpkin patch. The corn maze is a well known fall activity that many kids enjoy taking their friends to. Don’t forget to grab a pumpkin while you’re there and get creative with unique pumpkin carving designs.

If you weren’t interested in any of those ideas and would prefer to stay in, there are plenty of movies that will get you into the Halloween spirit. Such as, Hocus Pocus, Scream, The Nightmare before Christmas and many more. Speaking of getting in the Halloween spirit, Halloween is something that fall is most known for. Halloween is the one day a year where you can dress up and be anyone or anything you want. You can go out with friends and eat as much candy as you wish to!

Here are some opinions from another of the students here at Pitman about their favorite ways to spend their fall. Presley Jordyn a sophomore here at Pitman said,

“One of my favorite fall activities is going to the Fantozzi Farms Corn Maze in Patterson and shooting pumpkins.” To add to that she said, “Another one of my favorite parts of fall is Halloween and going all out with my costume!”

With all these activities in mind you also can look forward to the cooled down weather, not too hot and not too cold. Its the in between of summer and winter the perfect temperature making it more fun to spend your time outside away from technology After reading this article I hope you are able to spend your fall season in a more exciting way!
