Kanye has been a little odd recently, more odd than he usually is. There have been conspiracy theories about if Kanye West is the “real” Kanye. Concerned fans seem to think the “old” Kanye is dead and that it’s an imposter walking among them. Before you say “cloning isn’t real”, these conspiracy theorists are saying Kanye’s recent behavior is proof that the guy who’s been in the news is a clone.
In two months, this “Kanye ” has dissed his idols Jay Z and Beyonce, canceled his sold out tour, praised trump, dyed his hair blond, turned into a Trump loving fanboy and suffered a mental breakdown that landed him under psychiatric hold.
Whilst his behavior hasn’t always been “normal” some still think it is suspicious. One fan stated on social media “I’m sure he’s been on the good sh**, but drugs don’t make your face look oddly or completely different. Like it looks like him, but at the same time, it doesn’t look sh** like him.” Weird.
Two other fans stated; “So yall know this isn’t the real Kanye right? He’s a clone, dead a**”.
“This is a clone, so the real Kanye wouldn’t have to explain himself.”
I asked Pitman High Junior America Castrejon: 1) What do you think about Kanye West and his recent behavior? I also asked: 2) Do you think Kanye West was cloned? Why or why not?
She said :
- “Honestly, I’ve been seeing a lot of this information coming from his own Instagram. Saying how the Illuminati is real, and how he’s been taken. As well as his loss of his kids and his wife. I think the divorce really affected him. Many other people from Tiktok, Instagram, and Reddit also notice his strange behaviors, how he’s been distant from his social media, how he’s very rude in public and isn’t the “same Kanye”.”
- “I very much believe that he was cloned. I get most of this information from Tiktok, knowing it isn’t a reliable source. The pictures I’ve seen of him are very scary. His face structure changing, his body changing, and how he wears a lot of clothing covering himself. As well as his new significant other really makes me see the changes in him. I’ve seen pictures of how his face is more lifted and he just looks different. Kanye is not the same anymore.”
Though Kanye has been seen as cloned or very different for the past couple of months, his fans hope that he is actually going to be okay.
