Lab-grown Meat or cultured meat is meat produced by in vitro cultivation of animal cells, instead of from slaughtered animals.

The government is hiding the fact that they have fake meat in our stores including stores you regularly go to. So if you’re at a restaurant or eating any meat from anywhere, know that it might not even be real.

Would you rather eat something real or eat something that is made from injections of certain chemicals. It may be allowed in the US but is it really that safe? Well I’ll start with some facts.  Did you know in other countries they don’t allow America’s food to be imported to their countries for sale.  The reason they don’t is because America’s food is all filled with chemicals and things we don’t even know.  But that’s another topic I’ll talk about at another time. The real reason why lab meat was created was because it’s claimed to be better for the environment and the animals too.

Lab meat has good causes but would it be better if there was plant based things instead? Why do you think that they even made lab meat again?  There’s a theory saying that an animal shortage is coming. The reason why there is an animal shortage is because people are over hunting.  Also, because of the environment around the animals causing the animals to eat plastic and other unnatural things.

I interviewed some people about this topic – the first person I interviewed was Mrs. Insell an English teacher at Pitman.  I asked her, “Did you know the government approved lab meat?” I also asked her how she feels about that and her response was, “I don’t know if I would trust it because I wouldn’t know what it would do to our bodies.”

The second person I interviewed was Harmin Sangha, a 9th grade student here at Pitman.  I asked her, “Would you replace the food you eat right now for lab meat?” She replied, “Some other foods that have protein, like lab meat, are vegan meat; it’s plant based. And no, I would not because it’s coming from animal cells not an actual animal.  Also, it’s important for kids to have locally [grown] normal meat from farms.  Kids need meat to grow and get protein; it also doesn’t  seem safe either.”

Hearing those opinions justifies that the public isn’t fully aware of lab meat in US stores.

From my perspective, I strongly believe that lab meat shouldn’t be fed to people – or available for purchase – in stores or anywhere. Websites and sources say it’s safe and also not, but it may not be safe; it’s a grown meat from animal cells. Lab meat shouldn’t be okay for humans to consume because of how it is made with chemicals.  To sum this all up, most of all normal meat is supposed to keep you healthy and give you protein.  Lab meat does the same thing, but its with artificial protein.  Anything that comes from a lab that is supposedly edible is mostly not safe.
