Jaime Suarez, PHS teacher and JV boys soccer coach, came up with the idea of a Pit Crew, but specifically for soccer in an ASB meeting before winter break and 10th grader Maleena Samaro volunteered to take the lead. Suarez helped with the ideas as well as the soccer boys and other soccer managers. The Soccer Ultras are a super group and commonly seen within soccer; at Pitman they are like the Pit Crew for soccer. 

The plan is to start by having the Ultras for varsity, but also continuing on for JV and maybe even for girls soccer. The expectation is that there will be a lot of students, but right now the Ultras are only for boys soccer. Samaro said, “We do face paint and we even have an online QR Code on our Instagram: @pitmanvasrsitysoccer. Anyone can sign up to volunteer to help us with that.
