An Overview of Conan Gray’s Found Heaven

An+Overview+of+Conan+Gray%E2%80%99s+Found+Heaven

On April 5, 2024, Conan Gray released his third album, Found Heaven. The album was highly anticipated by Coneheads across the globe after its announcement on January 31, 2024, and it did not disappoint. With this album, Gray changed up his music, embracing an 80s sound as opposed to the typical pop and indie pop sound of his previous albums. Despite having been out for just over a month, within its first week of release alone Found Heaven had already reached 100 million streams on Spotify. The title of the album represents a duality between the feeling of dying when you lose love, but also the incredible feeling of happiness when you find love.

The album includes 13 tracks, the first of which being the title track, “Found Heaven.” “Found Heaven” was the first song Conan wrote for the album. In an interview with Billboard, Conan said that the song represents, “having to abandon everything that you know, but also for the sake of living life much happier and finding your own sense of happiness even if it’s different from other peoples.” The track puts the duality of the song/album title into words

“Never Ending Song” was the first song he released as a single, nearly a year ago on May 19th, 2023.

“Fainted Love”

“Lonely Dancers” was released as a single on February 10, 2024 *interview*

“Alley Rose” was the final song released as a single, on March 8, 2024, before the album was released. The song is Conan’s favorite song on the album, and he thinks of it as his very first love song. Conan was on a plane to London to see his partner at the time. However, upon his arrival, he was dumped over text while still waiting to get off of the plane. He found himself in London with no reason to be there and nothing to do. He dissected the lyrics in an interview with Genius

“The Final Fight”

“Miss You”

“Bourgeoisieses”

“Forever With Me”

“Eye of The Night”

“Boys & Girls”

“Killing Me” was released on October 31, 2023

I talked about “Winner” in a previous article, when it was released as a single in August of 2023. The song- like “Family Line” from his previous album, Superache -has to do with Conan’s childhood.

In April, shortly after the release of the album, Conan announced merch for Found Heaven, which is now available on his website x. The merchandise he released includes 3 t-shirts, a hoodie, a baseball tee, a zip-up hoodie, a knitted sweater, a tote bag, a baseball cap, a set of guitar picks with a metal tin, and another version of the iconic star inside the teardrop necklace.

With the album, Conan released multiple different vinyls and CDs. In total, he released 9 different vinyls. The vinyls available on his website include the Found Heaven “Transparent Yellow” edition,  which is yellow and has a star on each side, a “Picture Disc Edition”, which has the album cover printed on the vinyl, and an “Alley Rose” edition, which has a pink record and features an alternate cover. He also has other variants of the LP available at other stores, including a “Teardrop Blue” Target exclusive with an alternate cover, which comes in a bright solid blue color, a Walmart exclusive, “Ch-Cherry Red,” which is a bright solid red, and an Urban Outfitters “Electric Storm” edition, a yellow record with black streaks.
