Ariana Grande’s comeback to the music industry has been nothing short of amazing and inspiring. Since her Sweetener World Tour in 2019, fans have been waiting for this return.
In late August of 2025, Ariana Grande announced the Eternal Sunshine Tour via Instagram post, in which she would be performing songs from her newest 2024 album, Eternal Sunshine. The tour will start in June of 2026. Before tickets hit the general public, the presale witnessed outstanding demand. Over 7 million Grande fans were in line to purchase tickets. In some cities, numbers reached to the hundred thousands.
Not only were tickets extremely hard to get a hold of, many loyal Grande fans were unable to get tickets, and were extremely upset by the fact that they have been waiting years for her to go on tour again, and now they have to miss it.
When asked about the tour and her struggle getting tickets, Faith Hart, a freshman at Pitman High School said,
“Obviously I’m excited for her to go on tour again, but I’m sad we couldn’t get tickets since I really like her music. Yeah me and my sister were like 40 thousandth in line for tickets.”
One of the reasons that the tickets for the Eternal Sunshine Tour sold out so quickly was because of the limited seating. Grande’s team opted for arenas instead of stadiums, which are significantly smaller than and hold a lot less people. Other large artists, such as The Weekend and Taylor Swift, performed in and had their concert venues in large football stadiums, whereas Grande is having all of her concert venues in arenas, which have an average of about 20,000 seats, whereas football stadiums have an average of about 60,000 to 100,000 seats, which are significantly larger and more fans would be able to get a hold of tickets.
The rapid sellouts of this tour reflect that this tour exceeded the amount of attention and desire to get seats than expected. In London, the demand was so high for tickets to her concert that five more shows were added to accommodate fans.
Ethan Slater, (Grande’s partner & co-star) said,
“It’s really intense… so many people want to see her shows.”
Slater’s comment reflected on how popular the tour has become, and how it has been so difficult for people to even get in line for tickets.
In addition to the tickets being extremely hard to get a hold of, many people started reselling tickets for extreme prices, for seats even as far back as the nosebleeds. For her Los Angeles performance, some resale tickets were nearly priced at 5,000 dollars, just to sit in the farthest seats from the stage.
Ariana Grande’s Eternal Sunshine Tour has not just sold out, but has set off fan controversies and has sparked debates about her success as a singer, actor, and celebrity.
