It’s official class of 2026 only one day left of school; the countdown to graduation is on! To end this amazing school year on Monday the 18th Pitman will have their annual Pride Pathway. This day is a celebration organized for the seniors to get together one last time and celebrate this big milestone as a class, as well as share what their next steps are!
Seniors will be excused during Pride Time where they get to listen to music, play games, win prizes, take photos and enjoy water fun with their classmates. This is also yearbook distribution day, where many students, specifically seniors, spend their lunch gathering their final yearbook signings to conclude high school.
Seniors are highly encouraged to wear a shirt representing their next steps, whether that be college, career, military, etc. Pride Pathway is better known as the Senior Luau; this year’s theme is teen beach! We encourage everyone to dress up as the fun continues into lunch for all classes to enjoy.
Expanding on some of the activities, there will be crafts set up as well as cornhole and volleyball welcome for anyone to play out by the amphitheater. We encourage everyone to make use of the photobooth, games, and make the best memories as we conclude class of 2026 senior year and send them off to Disneyland for grad night!
To dive deeper into some of our seniors decisions we asked a collective group of seniors what their plans were after high school.
What have you decided to do after graduation?
Hannah Loforti: “After high school I am attending Cal Poly SLO to major in ag communications in hope to become an Ag teacher.”
Raegan Mallory: “After high school I plan on going to Stan State to major in liberal studies to become a kindergarten teacher or speech pathologist.”
Have you always known what you wanted to do or was there a process to this decision?
Loforti: “No, I haven’t always wanted to be an ag teacher and I am still debating if that’s what I really want to be. Ag has so many opportunities. I could find something else easily!”
Have you played sports and did this affect your decision as to where you went after high school?
Loforti: “Showing livestock played a big role in where I wanted to go and what I wanted to do because I love everything agriculture and wanted to continue to be a part of that industry.”
Mallory: “Yes, cheer definitely had a part in where I wanted to go and I will continue my cheer career at Stan State!”
What are going to miss most about high school?
Loforti: “I am going to miss my friends the most. I met a lot of people in high school. People I’m never going to see or speak to again. I think it will be sad and happy to reflect back on all the good times I had with my friends at Pitman.”
Mallory: “What I’m going to miss most about high school is all the activities that come along with it.”
What was your favorite memory you have from high school?
Loforti: “I don’t know if I have an absolute favorite memory, but football season will always be something I looked forward to every school year and it’s definitely where some of my favorite memories come from!”
Mallory: “My favorite memory is cheering at all the football games!”
We are so proud of our graduating class of 2026 and wishing them all the best no matter what they choose to do with their lives next year! We hope you all had the best four years here at Pitman!
