Hi! My name is Elena McLoughlin, and I am a freshman here at Pitman High School. My birthday is August 26, 2011. I enjoy watching movies, series, and documentaries. Some hobbies I have are baking, gardening, and reading. Book genres that I am interested in are dystopian and mystery series. My main hobby is playing the alto saxophone and I am a part of Pitman’s Wind Ensemble. I also love to be with my friends and family outside of school. I do not plan to join any sports here at Pitman, but I do want to be involved in school activities in other ways such as joining clubs. My main goal for myself here at Pitman is to make even just a small positive impact in students’ and staff’s lives at school.

One reason why I joined journalism this year was because I wanted to meet and get to know students, provide more opportunities for myself, and open the minds of students and staff here at Pitman. Hopefully by the end of my first year at Pitman, I will be able to discuss issues at school and outside of school. I hope that my future articles and interviews will inspire students to join journalism as well, and share their opinions and experiences with the school.
