It’s back! Turlock’s Ram Farms Corn Maze is now open and it’s a huge attraction for all ages.

Located on 716 N Daubenberger Rd, September 25th– November 1st its open daily, noon to dusk. Friday and Saturday hours are 10 am-10 pm and Sunday hours are 10 am- 8 pm. General Admission for ages 12 and up is only $12. On Friday and Saturday nights, admission for ages 6-12 is $8 and admission for ages 13 and up is only $10.

After paying and getting my complimentary glow stick, I entered the maze at approximately 7:15. The first thing I noticed was there are two workers that are standing at the beginning of the maze to tell you which route is the shortest and which is the longest. I decided to take the longer one.

After walking for quite a while, I came across a check point. I thought that was actually quite neat to have check points throughout the maze so you have some sort of an idea where you were going. I also noticed that it gets dark fast in the corn maze so, if you’re going you want to make sure you have some type of light if you visit it at night time.

After walking for about 2 hours, I finally completed the maze. I then decided to see about other people’s experiences and I found that they were all positive.

“If I could describe my experience in one word, I would definitely say it was exciting!” exclaimed Omar Lopez, a Turlock High freshman.

“I would recommend the maze to other people because it is super fun! Also, it also helps with memorizing,” laughed Brianna Weaver, a ninth grader at Pitman, while recalling her experience.

Although the maze had a lot of great features, it also did have its downfalls. While walking through the narrow paths, people had broken their glow sticks and thrown it on the corn stalks. It lit up the maze but also was not easy to avoid. Also, if you plan on attending the maze on its featured Freaky Flashlight Nights, be aware that there will be quite a lot of people there. It is a very popular hangout for teenagers on the weekends.

Another downfall of this attraction is that it does get tiring. After a good hour, it seems that you’ve seen that same pathway of corn 3 times before and that you are not making any progress to find your way out. Make sure to pick up a map because you definitely are going to need it.

Ram Farm’s corn maze is the perfect hangout to catch up with friends and have an unforgettable night.
