Fuller House

Twenty-one years ago, we said goodbye to the Tanner family as little sister, Michelle regained her memory after having amnesia. The final word came from patriarch Danny Tanner who told the family that they will get through anything together, “Just like we always will.”

Twenty years later, oldest daughter DJ, Kimmy, and Stephanie are living back in the Tanner’s house in San Francisco with DJ’s three kids and Kimmy’s daughter.

This Netflix original Series stars Candace Cameron Bure, also in the original series Full House and multiple Hallmark movies. The series follows DJ Tanner, a single mom who lost her husband during his firefighter duties, her sister Stephanie and her childhood best friend, Kimmy as they try to help DJ out with her three kids.

The show was created by the original producer of Full House Jeff Franklin, in association with Warner Horizon Television.

Joining Candace Cameron Bure are original cast members Jodie Sweeten, as DJ’s younger sister, Stephanie and Andrea Barber as Kimmy Gibbler, DJ’s childhood best friend.

The series also has many guest stars, including the Tanner family (except Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen, who played the youngest of the three sisters, Michelle Tanner) and famous San Francisco icons like Giants’ baseball star, Hunter Pence.

The acting was phenomenal and judging from the laughter from the live studio audience, the audience definitely enjoyed the show. Andrea Barber has not appeared on screen for twenty years. With her acting, you couldn’t tell. She was still Kimmy Gibbler, the clueless next door neighbor who loves the Tanner household.

On IMDB, the show’s first season received a 7.5 out of 10. On Rotten Tomatoes, the show received a critic score of 32% and an audience score of 75%.

The show is definitely not like the original Full House. It tackles DJ’s single life and her relationships, along with Kimmy’s marriage that is falling apart. Kimmy’s always sassy towards her ex, and has a very witty tongue, which always stole the scene.

Fuller House is definitely worth the watch because of its hilarious comedy and drama.
