It’s almost time for spring break and many people are looking for not so pricey, yet fun things to do from strolling on the beach to shopping and exploring.

Here is a list of the top ten locations people go to during spring break:

Beaches

  • Myrtle Beach, South Carolina: In addition to its sixty miles of sand, Myrtle Beach also consists of golf courses, water parks, and theme parks. “There are plenty of new things to check out, and as always many of the area’s bars, clubs and nightlife spots are rolling out the red carpet to cater to spring breakers looking for a good time.” states Chris Mowder.
  • Laguna Beach, California: Within the seven-miles of its sandy coast, Laguna Beach is punctuated by a community that features art galleries, shops, museums, restaurants, festivals, and many activities including wine tasting, whale watching, reggae concerts and more, ranking it as a top spot for Spring Break.
  • Santa Cruz and Monterey, California: Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk is a great place to take in the fresh ocean breeze or even taking a dip in the water. Along with its own theme park from roller coasters, to an arcade, delicious food, and shops. Take a drive along the coast, and enjoy the lovely scenery of Monterey Bay’s long beaches. As well as the Monterey Bay Aquarium or even take a walk around Cannery Row where shops and restaurants are located.
  • Siesta Key Beach, Florida: Located in Southern Florida, Siesta Key offers it’s warm, sparkling waters off the Gulf of Mexico, along with Parasailing, and a relaxing vibe.
  • Negril, Jamaica: From cliff diving, to snorkeling, sunbathing, beach parties, waterfall climbing, concerts, or simply enjoying the beautiful sunset, this beach has everything needed for a perfect Spring Break. Negril features seven miles of its sandy beach before becoming cliffs from about fifty feet high.
  • San Francisco, California: The Golden Gate Bridge is one of the many attractions San Francisco has to offer, along with the beautiful scenery, the fresh breeze, endless shops, and the crowded sidewalks filled with tourists enjoying the many attractions SF has in store for them.

  Theme Park

  • Orlando, Florida: Home to many famous water parks such as Aquatica SeaWorld’s Water Park, Disney’s Blizzard Beach, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon, and Wet ‘n WildOrlando, offering refreshing amazement for all guests. During the last three weeks of March, Universal Studios holds Mardi Gras celebrations every Friday and Saturday night with music acts, New Orleans cuisine, a colorful parade, and hundreds of beads.

  Europe

  • Paris, France: The city of lights can get hot in the summertime, but during the spring, the weather is cool, and flowers are in bloom with magnificent scenery all around.
  • Madrid, Spain: Although you may have some rain to battle with, the food and nightlife in Madrid will make up for having to carrying an umbrella.

 Cruises

  • Nassau, Bahamas: The weather is wonderful; the water is crystal clear, and perfect for getting some relaxation in paradise.
