As the NFL 2017-18 season came to its end being another successful year for the business and the players, coaches and owners have been looking into adding more players to their roster. Whether this is trading athletes, drafting them, or hiring free agents. These athletes can be straight from college, or current NFL players.

The NFL Player Draft is set up depending on the previous season. So ultimately the teams that had the worst record gets the earlier “picks” and the teams that did the best (like playoff teams) choose last because they’re considered to not need the great athletes that the other teams need. Recently New York Giants traded Jason Pierre-Paul to the Buccaneers in trade of for their sixty-ninth overall pick in the third round and they are both swapping their fourth pick. Which has caused some discussion in the NFL trade.

Some more superstars that were let go and later picked up were Alex Smith (Former Kansas City Washington Redskins.

This would be a big impact to both teams as they were both tough decisions to release their quarterback’s considering a lot of teams struggle with having not only a great QB but a consistent one.

More talk in the NFL is on the San Francisco 49ers and their new contract that was just extended Jimmy Garoppolo. He started the last 5 games of the season and won every single one. The Forty-Niners also signed former cornerback for the Seattle Seahawks, Richard Sherman as they and him, Garoppolo, and many other standout athletes achieving great things for the season to come.

Across the Bay from San Francisco is Oakland where the Raiders recently signed a new Head Coach Jon Gruden to replace former head coach Jack Del Rio. They recently released former Wide Receiver Michael Crabtree often referred to as “Mr.4th Quarter” because he was a clutch player and did not crack under pressure but made a lot of bad decisions alongside not being capable of controlling his emotions-causing the Raiders a lot of money. But he was replaced him by the signing Jordy Nelson former wide receiver from the Green Bay Packers.

As the draft is just around the corner teams and players continue to work hard and are willing to do anything to add new faces/to be added to teams rosters. Stay tuned!
