May 9th was the 4th round of the West Semi-Final in the NBA, where the Los Angeles Lakers won a close game against the Golden State Warriors LA. Anthony Davis ended the game with a 16-foot jumpshot, ending the score at 104-101. The current record between the Lakers and Warriors is 3-1, with the Lakers leading. The 5th game will determine which team will go to the NBA Finals.

Before going into the 5th game, let’s look back at the previous games and how they ended. Just to remind the Warriors and Lakers fans who was responsible for leading the Los Angeles Lakers to victory.

Results of Game 1

The Lakers were able to strike first in their Western Conference Semifinal matchup against the Warriors, holding on for a nail-biting 117-112 win at the Chase Center on Tuesday night. The main players who led the Lakers to their first round win was from the help of the duo Lebron James and Anthony Davis.

Results of Game 2

After dropping Game 1 at home, Golden State came out and trounced the Lakers by 27 points, 127-100, to even the series at 1-1. Los Angeles actually had a seven-point lead at the end of the first quarter, but the Warriors blew the game open by scoring a combined 84 points in the second and third quarters to pull away. Sharpshooter Klay Thompson caught fire from 3-point range, finishing with 30 points on eight made triples.

Results of Game 3

Anthony Davis had 25 points and 13 rebounds, a slow-starting LeBron James finished with 21 points, eight assists and eight rebounds, and the Los Angeles Lakers took a 2-1 lead in their second-round playoff series.

The series headed to Los Angeles for Game 3 and came out with a turn of events. The starters have been pulled and this one is all but over. The Warriors lead the Lakers 125-95 with 4:37 to play in the game. If you’re curious about the discourse around the game in the fourth quarter.

Who do you think will win the 5th week between the Lakers and the Warriors and what’s your reasoning?

For my question, I interviewed an 11th grade student of Turlock High School, Caesar Perez who said that he expects the Warriors to win in the 5th game. His reasoning is because the Lakers’ travel will affect the players’ conditions.
